Edmonds Flotilla 12 Boating Classes
Boaters, take a boating course from
the Coast Guard Auxiliary to prepare for boating in 2011. The Edmonds Flotilla 12 will be teaching the following public boating courses: Boating Skills and Seamanship: 12
week course beginning February 10. This class covers all aspects of boating, and is good for both novice and experienced boaters. Weekend Navigator: 12 week course
beginning February 8. This class covers fundamental principals and tools of navigation, plus the use of electronic equipment. This class will prepare you for longer range cruising. Classes will be taught at Chuck

Puget Sound Cruising Club Events
Puget Sound Cruising Club is
a group of sailors interested in long distance and local cruising. PSCC meetings are held at North Seattle Community college, 7:30 pm on the third Friday of the month in the Concert Hall LB1141. Your $3 donation at the door helps cover the room rent. Guests are welcome at all PSCC

Piloting Course The Bremerton Sail & Power
Squadron will be offering a Piloting course on Thursday evenings starting February 10. The class will be held at Jackson Park Community Center in Bremerton. The Piloting course focuses on navigation as it is done on recreational boats today and embraces GPS as a primary navigation tool while covering enough of traditional techniques so the student will be able to find his/her way even if their GPS fails. America’s Boating Course The Bremerton Sail and Power
Squadron will be offering America’s Boating Course from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday. February 5 & 6: at Tremont Fire Station, 200 Tremont Street, Port Orchard. February 19 & 20: at St Anthony’s Hospital, Green Point Dining Rm, 11567 Canterwood Blvd NW, Gig Harbor. The course is for all boaters. Course
