MANUFACTURER’S COMMENTS
The Myth is the embodiment of everything a canoe should be, perform- ing well tandem or solo, in whitewater or flatwater. The true “jack of all trades” is born.
A custom-built, beautifully handcrafted wooden canoe. Weighs only 53 lbs with optional lightweight Dacron covering. Solos well and is a good lakewater-tripping canoe.
Shouldered flare for dryness and enhanced paddle placements, differ- ential rocker for easy tracking and manoeuvrability. Efficient and light. Royalex and Black Gold are both available in multiple trims.
You don’t have to paddle across the country if you own one of these canoes—although some people have. Greater carrying capacity for more kids, more dogs and of course more stuff.
Clipper’s most popular model. Deep-dish ash yoke, sliding bucket seat and adjustable foot brace are included. Optional wood trim available. Anodized aluminum trim standard.
Popular for cruising and racing, the Champlain’s narrow beam gives it more speed and a responsive feel. It is ideal for tandem canoe tripping.
Asymmetrical, shallow-arch hull with sharp entry and exit lines. Fast, stable and responsive. Contoured web seats. Hardwood yoke. Many layup, colour and trim options.
Moderately rockered keel line. Symmetrical. Shallow-arch cross-section. Tumblehome waterline configuration. Custom built.
Stable, durable, roomy.
A high-performance cruising canoe with classic good looks and top quality workmanship and materials.
Our Prospector is the perfect all-around lakewater tripping canoe. It handles large waves very well, and is fast and straight-tracking.
Langford’s finest tripping canoe. Capacity, manoeuvrability, tracking ease and seaworthiness make this a great tripping canoe.
Modified Prospector design with straight sides, shallow-arch bottom and moderate rocker for stability, easy paddling and good tracking. A good tandem/family canoe. Many options and colours are available.
Lean and efficient with shallow-arch hull; designed to run dry in rough water; fast flatwater canoe with downriver capability.
Traditional design based on the Chestnut Cruiser Cronje model. The quintessential tripping canoe, it is at home on flatwater and also capable of serious river tripping.
The all-around canoe. Rockered, shallow-V hull, great stability, volume and handling.
A very efficient hull, straight-tracking yet easy to turn. It provides stability and great capacity for tripping. Comfortable in moderate whitewater. A longer and wider version, the Haida 17’, is also available.
The Koru marks Old Town’s return to high-end materials and a step forward in canoe design. The Koru’s tumblehome, dramatic recurve, and fine entry and exit points make the Koru a quick and comfortable canoe.
Ideal for quiet water touring. Ram-XCel hull offers superior flotation and durability. Ash webbed seats, ash portaging yoke, rod holders and carrying handles are included.
Modified E.M. Guide model. Ideal for extended wilderness touring. Craftsman details. Custom features include hand-caned seats and deep-dish yokes.
At home in the wilderness, the Prospector 16 offers an easy ride for novice and experienced paddlers alike. This canoe handles large loads and rough waters with ease and grace.
