ht 3 Colour Blunders!

The dark night sky can play tricks on our eyes. Even after our eyes adjust to the dark we still have trouble discerning colours properly.

MATERIALS: Coloured markers Blank index cards Paper bag (or non-transparent container)

INSTRUCTIONS: While waiting for everyone’s eyes to adjust to the dark, each person puts a few mark- ers in his or her paper bag. Once your eyes have adjusted to the dark, take out the markers one at a time and draw a circle on an index card; use a new card for every marker. Then, on the back of the index card write what colour you think the circle is. Now turn the lights back on and see who guessed the most colours correctly!
