his year is a very special one for International SOS as we mark our first quarter of a century. It’s another important milestone – and a chance to reflect on how we’ve changed and grown as a company while still retaining the same mission and values. The story of International SOS is one we feel proud


to tell. In 25 years we’ve grown from a regional medical assistance company into a critical partner for many of the world’s leading international organizations. With our clients we’ve pioneered a new industry to make international-standard health and security services accessible anywhere in the world. Through International SOS membership, organizations can meet their duty of care responsibilities to all their employees. Our company has been evolving fast, shaped by the changing needs of an increasingly globalized world. We’re driven by continuous innovation – and by harnessing the vast potential of new technologies. International SOS has developed global reach, with a worldwide network of 32 clinics and 25 alarm centers in over 70 countries. New alliances, most recently our joint venture with Control Risks and our acquisition of MedAire, have further strengthened the comprehensive service we offer. Around 60,000 preferred providers deliver expert medical, security and logistical support to our members. And we

continue our expansion, most recently opening new facilities in Africa and the Middle East and a whole new division in Latin America.


At the same time we know that when people need help, what they most value is our human touch. Our 7,000 people are the backbone of International SOS, led by 970 physicians and 200 security specialists. It is their energy and expertise that make the difference. The awards we have been honored to receive are a testament to their skill and dedication. This year has brought huge opportunities as well as challenges for organizations across the globe. This silver edition of Hotline reflects on just some of them. As always we’re interested in hearing your views and feedback.
