Media Information


This Yearbook is intended to enhance your coverage of the 2010-11 Siena College basketball team. It will answer most questions you may have concern- ing Siena basketball. The history of Siena basketball is covered in this publication along with current infor- mation. If you need additional help in locating information please feel free to contact Jason Rich in the athletic com- munications office at (518) 783-2411.


Working Credentials Requests for working credentials should bemade no later than two days prior to the game. The assistant athletic director for communications reserves the right to deny requestsmade past that time restraint. If the request is received early enough, passes can bemailed.


Press row is located on the sideline opposite the team benches and in the first row of sections 119, 120 and 121. Working media are asked not to sit at the scorer’s table unless designated to do so by the athletic communications office.


Photographers are asked to stay along the baseline in their designated area and must display their credentials.


Photographers not displaying credentials will be asked to leave the court area.


Preference will be given to working press and photographers covering the game. Media representatives are asked to prominently display their credentials.

Media covering the visiting teamshould pass their credential requests along to the visiting school SID who will then forward all credential requests to the Siena athletic communications office.


Game Services A game program, along with statistics and pre-game notes, will be provided before the start of each game to the working media. Individual and team statistics, along with a detailed play- by-play, will be available at halftime and 15 minutes after the game.


Wireless Internet and Telephone Lines Complimentary wireless internet is available throughout the Times Union Center. The media room will be equipped with a minimum of three outside telephone lines and electrical outlets. Media are asked to file their story from the press room as opposed to courtside.


Non-Game Interviews With Mitch Buonaguro: The best time to reach Mitch Buonaguro is between 10 a.m. and noon. All discussion should be channeled through the athletic com- munications office at (518) 783-2411. Interviews will not be given the day of the game until after the game, with the exception of prearranged live interviews at Times Union Center.


With the players: All player interviews are to be made through the director of athletic communications. No interviews will take place during scheduled practice time, study hall time, or class time. Please contact the director of athletic communi- cations for all interviewrequests.


Press Luncheons Mitch Buonaguro and Gina Castelli hold a weekly luncheon/press confer- ence throughout the season. Luncheons will mostly take place on Tuesdays and usually begin at 12 p.m. in the lower conference roomof the Marcelle Athletic Complex (unless otherwise noted) and are open to members of the media. Players will be made avail- able if their schedules permit. Call the assistant athletic director for commu- nications for an updated schedule of luncheon times and dates.


Radio/ISDN Lines Phone lines for radio broadcasts are available for games. Arrangements should be made by contacting the Times Union Center at (518) 487-2014. ISDN lines must be ordered in advance through the Times Union Center and are subject to an additional fee. Once a line has been secured, please notify the Siena athletic communications office, or the communications office of the school whose games you cover, so that a credential and a spot on press row can be reserved.
