Day 2 – Red Rock Country & the Grand Canyon Visit the beautiful town of Sedona, sur round ed by towering red-rock formations that were often filmed for classic western movies. The scenery you’ll see on this journey is always awe-inspiring, but nothing can compare to the Grand Canyon, over one mile deep and 277 miles long. Geologists say that half of the Earth’s history is represented in the canyon’s rocks, terraced buttes and mesas. Spend the night near the canyon’s rim in the heart of Grand Canyon National Park, giving you an opportunity to enjoy nature’s masterpiece after the day’s crowds depart – sure to be a highlight. Dine at your choice of restaurants this evening. Meals BLD
Day 3 – Explore the East Rim of the Grand Canyon Seeing the sun rise – and set – in the Grand Canyon is one of those eye-opening experiences that will long be remembered and cherished by families of every age. Join us for a sunrise hike along the rim of the canyon, a great time to do a little wildlife spotting such as mule deer or squirrels in the cactus-studded landscape. Take a driving tour of the East Rim as you depart the Grand Canyon this afternoon en route to Page, Arizona; vista stops along the way offer different perspectives of the canyon. Spend the next two nights at a resort nestled on the sandy shores of the sparkling blue waters of Lake Powell in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Meals BD

Day 4 – Flightsee over Rainbow Bridge & Lake Powell As the world’s largest natural bridge, Rainbow Bridge is a wonder to behold; fly over it on an included flightseeing* trip this morning. This afternoon, you’ll have a choice of how you wish to explore Lake Powell or the local area. You can take a scenic cruise on Lake Powell for spectacular views of Glen Canyon Dam, or you can explore Antelope Canyon by open-air 4-wheel-drive vehicle* and take a walk through the canyon. Antelope Canyon of the Navajo Nation was carved from rugged sandstone by rain and wind. Its Navajo name translates as “the place where water runs through rocks”; it is protected from the elements and respected by the Navajos for its spiritual harmony with nature. You also have the option (at an additional cost of $199 per person), to go on a 4-hour flightseeing excursion to Monument Valley in the morning; see box on page 48 for details. And to end this action-packed day, dine as you please at the resort. Meals BD
