Day 6. Temple of Karnak / Cruise to Esna With three main temples and several smaller ones that were constructed from the inside out, Luxor’s Temple of Karnak is the largest complex of its kind ever built. Our expert Egyptologist leads today’s excursion to this vast site and its Great Hypostyle Hall. Later, Nile Adventurer sets off from Luxor on an exciting day spent cruising the River Nile. Glimpse life along the ancient riverbanks as the ship makes its way to Esna throughout the day, enjoy a private galley tour and experience afternoon tea. Your ship’s Captain and his staff host a cocktail reception this evening that entices with Egyptian beverages, followed by dinner. Meals BLD
Day 7. Esna / Edfu / Egyptian Evening
Go ashore in Esna this morning for a visit to the Greco-Roman Temple of Khnum; continue cruising along the Nile to Edfu to explore the well-preserved Temple of Horus and the local bazaar. Don local attire for a special evening of entertainment and dancing – don’t forget to bring your camera to the festivities! Meals BLD
Day 8. Kom Ombo / Aswan / Philae Temple Walk to Kom Ombo’s unusual double temples on a morning shore excursion, followed by a cruise to Aswan; a private motorboat ferries you to Agilka Island to see the Temple of Isis at Philae and the quarries that provided granite for temples and pyramids. Day 9. Disembark / Abu Simbel / Alexandria Disembark Nile Adventurer in Aswan. Your travels on land take you to Abu Simbel to visit the temples of Ramesses II and Queen Nefertari. Then, you’ll fly via private charter to Alexandria, on the shores of the Mediterranean, in time for some more sightseeing. Meals BLD
