Toshiba’s Strata CIX communication platforms can support both VoIP and traditional telephony. There are fi ve platforms in the CIX family, including the Strata CIX40, the Strata CIX100 and the CIX1200. All offer built in scalability and upgrade paths ensuring easy migration to new technology or a higher capacity system. The platforms are complemented by a range of Toshiba digital
featurephones and IP telephony tools, for example the IPT5000 series. These provide a wide choice of functionality and range, from an entry level option through to a sophisticated large display featurephone. Toshiba’s Business Communications Division has also launched a
new platform to sit fi rmly at the top of its range of CIX communications platforms which are best suited for medium to large companies. The CIX1200 nearly doubles the port capacity of the CIX670. One base unit has eight slots supporting up to 96 extensions and 30 lines. Up to 11 expansion cabinets, each with 10 slots, can be added to boost this to a total of 1,000 extensions and 440 lines.
