salesman’s pitch on another technical outdoor product. This month it’s CÀRN’s excellent Stratosphere boot, thanks to

Q: What's special about this boot? A: There is an ever increasing demand for products to be produced ethically, and this is not limited to just the ethical policies set by a brand but also those of
USPs
• A one-piece (minimal stitching), durable and water resistant 700D Cordura replaces traditional boot leathers. Along with the unique Rubber Toe Bumper a tough PU provides additional scuff protection from toe to heel with a comfortable Flex PU Nubuck used for the tongue and collar.
• Many users through an injury or a natural weakness require additional ankle support, to provide this stability and confidence when tackling rougher terrain we have developed a reinforced hi-cut PU Nubuck collar.
• To further aid stability and control (reduced foot roll/twist) on uneven terrain the boot has been constructed with a new Bi-Fit Single Density PP Moulded Board. This board provides increased lateral stability in the forefoot, waist and rear foot while still flexing for a natural walking motion.

Toe and heel protection is provided by CÀRN’s unique 1 Piece Moulded Stitched Rubber Toe Bumper and TPU External Heel Cradle. Further to that STRATOSPHERE eV Hi also includes AEGIS, TREK-DRY and Poliyou technologies to aid long

term comfort through the control of internal moisture thus reducing bacteria and odours.
Q: Who is the end user for this? A: At CÀRN we aim to produce footwear "for all walks in life" and this new boot is no different. Although a Hi-Cut boot the STRATOSPHERE eV Hi has been designed to function on a par with a traditional walking/trekking boot, this could be low-level trails to more challenging and higher terrains.
Q: What's the RRP? A: £114.99, which we think is exceptional value for a boot that is packed full of technical features.
