JANE TOMLIN, SI Wolverhampton, died recently aged 96. A Soroptimist for forty years, Jane spent the last three years of her life living at Soroptimist House. MAURA KEENAM, SI Newry and Mourne died on 29 June 2010 aged 84. Maura was Club President 1974-75 and was made an Honorary member in 2007 . ANN CRAWFORD, SI Dundee, died in August after a long illness. She was 73 and had joined the Club on 1st April 1972. NANCY KEAY, SI Dundee, a member for over 41 years, Club President 1975-1977, died in July in her 92nd year. BERTHA PEACOCK, SI Skipton, died on 8 August 2010 aged 93. A Soroptimist for 60 years, Bertha was Club President 1957-58, Club Treasurer 1954/1968, DU Rep 1962/1970, DU Treasurer 1969/1974, Federation Benevolent Fund Secretary 1979 –1985 and made an Honorary Life Member of Skipton Club 1993. REV. MARGARET LAWDAY SI Skipton, died on 11 August 2010 aged 87 years. Margaret was Club President 1995 – 1996, held most other Club offices, was Club Welfare Officer until her death and was made an Honorary Life Member of Skipton Club in 2009 after 24 years service to Soroptimism. JEAN CLARKE, SI Reigate and District, died on 22 June 2010. A Soroptimist since 1980, Club President 1984-85. Jean served in various capacities at Club level right up to her death. JANE CEIRIOS WILLLIAMS, SI Llanelli died on May 13 2010. Ceirios was a long serving member and Club President 1977-79. SYBIL GUEST, SI Ashton under Lyne died on 17 June 2010 aged 75. A member since 1988, President in 1996 and Club Treasurer. JEAN BIRKBECK, SI St Albans & District died on 26 June 2010. She had been a member of the Club since 1975 and was Club President (as Miss Jean Wingfield) 1980-81. DR JEAN NAYLOR, SI Liverpool, died on 19 May 2010, aged 82. Jean had been a Soroptimist for 39 years, was an Honorary Member and served as President 1987-88. DOROTHY DUNLOP, SI Kirkcaldy, died on 7 June 2010. A member since 1965 she held many offices in the club and was Treasurer from 1992-1997 and Club President in 1987/88. MARJORIE MORRIS, SI Central Birmingham an Honorary Member, died on 31 May at the age of 99. She joined the Club in 1948, served as Club President in 1960-61 and later as President of the then Divisional Union. PATRICIA OGDEN S.S.St.J of SI Southport, died 7 July 2010 aged 72. Pat was a Soroptimist for 16 years and was Club President in 2005/06. EILEEN CRAIN, SI Lincoln & District died January 2010, aged 86. A Soroptimist for over 45 years and Club Treasurer, previously a member of Sutton Coldfield and Nottingham Clubs. WENDY WOOD, SI Selby, born in Barbados died on 19 June 2010 aged 67 years. A member of SI Selby for 5 years. MARY BRANKER C.B.E. F.R.C.V.S SI Sutton Coldfield died on 18 July 2010, aged 96. She was a founder member of and the first female President of the British Veterinary Association.
