date of our 76th Federation Conference at Manchester Central and we cannot wait to sample all the wonderful things this fabulous northern city has to offer. Before you arrive, you will find below a few items of information that should help you enjoy both the Conference and the venue. If you haven’t yet booked, please don’t forget to do so as the closing date is 10 September and numbers are limited.
Registrations are coming in quickly
now – so make sure of a place and don’t forget to mention your dietary requirements when registering! You can download your registration form from the “Members Only” area of the SIGBI website and find a list of
hotels. Delegates can book accommodation via “Visit Manchester” website – the official accommodation provider for this Conference. Keep checking the website for information, particularly “Notes for Delegates” and “About the Conference” sections. The Conference Organisers are trying to
ensure that everything runs smoothly to bring you a successful conference. Refreshment is always key to this so there will be an opportunity to pre-order attractively priced sandwich packs in the lobby area prior to each morning session and at coffee break (these can also be purchased at lunchtime). for delegates to browse around the exhibit stands (a full list of these can be found on the Conference website) which include various SI stands promoting Club projects, the Benevolent Fund, Friendship Links and Project SIerra. There are also stands representing charities including Oxfam, WaterAid, Sightsavers and Breast Cancer Campaign to name just a few. There will be one or two of our popular commercial exhibitors attending, including JK Promotional Gifts and Precious Pearls. So, plenty to gather information from and also a little retail therapy thrown in there!
