Summer fun!
A good time was had by all at the SIGBI South East Summer Fun Day Picnic. The event was held in the glorious Kent countryside at Laurenden Forstal, by kind permission of Mrs Amanda Cottrell, former High Sherriff of Kent. There was a wide variety of
stalls selling goods in support of WaterAid, including bric a brac, African T-Bag craftwork, produce, plants and a charity calendar made by SIGBI’s very own ‘calendar girl’ Dinah Scudder.
Visitors enjoyed croquet on the lawn and children were entertained by South East President Jan Day’s daughter who performed as a clown (pictured below). A lucky winner took home the top prize in the raffle – a wonderful hamper filled with local produce and a wheelbarrow full of beers, wines and spirits. We’d like to say a very big
thank you from WaterAid to Jan and the team for all their hard work in making the day such a success.
