Preceded in death by husband Donald Graham Henderson, whom she married in 1947. Active in the League of Women Voters; volunteer at ALIVE!; travelled the world with her family and friends. Loving sister to Mary Johnson of Parksley, Sara Willis of Norfolk and sister-in-law Daphna Marsh of Fredericksburg. WILLIAM DAVIS McCALIP HOLMES "Bill" (Age 73)


Died Wednesday, August 25, 2010, while vacationing in Pennsylvania. Born August 7, 1937, in Yazoo City, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Vernon Charles Holmes and Mildred Louise Holmes. He is survived by his companion, Ms. Carolyn Pyles, of Florence, Mississippi; his cousins, Donna Eberwine-Villagran de Leon and her hus- band Ambassador Francisco Villagran de Leon of Washington, DC and Mimi Jones Gray and her husband Joseph Robert Gray of Clarksdale, Mississippi and their families. He is lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A graduate of the University of Mississippi Law School, Bill Holmes was an attorney with the United States Department of Jus- tice for more than 35 years. After retiring in 2003, he brought his experience as a tax attorney to his new career with Arlington Realty. Bill Holmes was formerly a member of the JAG Corps in the United States Army and United States Army Reserves and long-time member of the Calvary United Methodist church.A service celebrating his life will be held at Calvary United Methodist Church in Arlington on September 1, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Reception will follow at Army Navy Country Club.


During WWII, Ms. Liming worked at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, and later served as a switchboard operator for the Daughter’s of the American Revolution.


Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Survivors include her four children, Jimmy Pittrizzi of Manassas, VA; Greg Pittrizzi of Beaufort, SC; Debby Pittrizzi of Manassas, VA; Susie Small and her husband Danny of Virginia Beach, VA; one brother, Freeman Wilder and his wife Diane of Virginia Beach, VA; and seven grandchildren.


The family will receive friends on Friday, September 3, 2010 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas. A celebration of Jerie’s life will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. David Small officiating.


Private interment will take place in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth,Virginia.

Of Centreville/Fairfax, VA passed away on August 21, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Eldon and Eula Ehinger and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 20 years, Colonel William V. Scottie Kronmiller, beloved mother, doting grandmother and fabulous friend, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2010.


Dorothea "Scottie" Freed Kronmiller was born on July 9, 1917 in York, Pennsylvania. Scotty lived a vibrant and exciting life as a successful Broadway actress, artist, Navy Captain's wife, mother of two and beloved grandmother of four.


In the 1940's, Scottie starred as "Ado Annie Carnes”, opposite John Raitt, in the national touring company of ‘Oklahoma’. Scottie’s rendition of "I can't say No!" was so funny, it became the standard for new actors performing that role today.


Scottie was married to Captain George H. Kron- miller, a graduate of the Naval Academy Class of 1940. She continued to perform in theatre and

Just prior to her being screen tested for films, George was transferred to Penniscola, FL Airfield. So began her new career as wife and then mother. George’s career took them to London where he was Navel Attaché and Scottie enjoyed entertaining, foreign dignitaries, and friends. Upon returning to the United States, Scottie & George resided in North Arlington and McLean, Virginia. Supporting George in his later career as Washington Director of United Tech- nologies, she traveled with George extensively oversees. Scottie served as Chair of the Virginia Woman's Republican Party for over 40 years, volunteered at the Alexandria Torpedo Art Factory, took numerous classes including sculpting and painting , and was active in the Commonwealth Circle. Scottie continued to support the Theatre and Arts through her charitable works and personal contributions until her death.


Scottie is survived by her four grandchildren, Ted Jr., Lauren, Rory and Michael. Her daughter is Kristen Pinfield of San Antonio, Texas who is married to Gregory D. Pinfield. Her son Theodore G. Kronmiller of Great Falls, Virginia, who is married to Kate Bonner Kronmiller.


Funeral arrangements are being administered by Money & King Funeral Home, 171 Maple Avenue West, Vienna, Virginia. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 1st from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 6715 Georgetown Pike, McLean, Virginia on Thursday, September 2, beginning at 11:30 a.m. A private interment will be held at Prospect Hill Cemetery, in York, Pennsylvania.
