from the director is worldchanging the d The world is changing, but the Great Commission remains clear. Jesus has commanded us
to reach all people with the gospel. We must not fail, regardless of the challenges we face. We deeply appreciate your partnership in fulfi lling Christ’s command. We have been able
to plant churches in 179 countries and territories, train workers in 117 Bible schools, care for thousands of orphans, introduce people to Jesus for the fi rst time, and send missionaries where they are needed. This is because of your faithfulness and gifts. For nearly 100 years, 100 percent of all special project donations has been sent directly to
the fi eld. This has been made possible by local churches sending World Missions an amount equal to 2.5 percent of tithes, out of which administration costs were paid. Beginning September 1, the 2.5 percent will be reduced to 1.25 percent over a fi ve-year period. Several categories of mission donations will remain unaffected. One hundred percent of
all monies given for missionaries, Youth World Evangelism Action, Women’s Ministries, and Children of the World (orphanages) will still be sent intact for their specifi ed purpose. Other projects, such as purchasing land, building
churches, putting roofs on churches, and so forth, will donate 5 percent of the project cost to cover expenses incurred in administering the project. This includes fund-raising, mailing, processing by offi ce personnel, wiring of funds, travel related to the project, and any other costs incurred. A project whose cost is $1,200, for example, will donate $60 to help cover expenses. Most non-profi t organizations utilize an average of 15-18 percent in overhead costs, so the 5

percent is modest. It will help World Missions remain viable as a partner to local churches. Thank you for your understanding and for your continuing faithfulness.
