Rwanda, a Maryland- size country of
11 million in east central Africa, grabbed the
world’s attention in 1994, when a
civil war brought about the brutal murder of some
800,000 people, or 20 percent of the population.
The country has
recovered and is now recognized
as a model African nation in terms of development,
health, cleanliness, and order. Rwanda
was part of a recent YWEA project to build a central
church and national offi ce.
Tammy Rockwell
recently ministered in the nation for a period of weeks.
