her&e there in the world of missions Praise Reports
from Armenia Justin Rose
The Church of God in Armenia, a
country of almost 3 million people in Southwestern Asia where evangelistic work has been extremely diffi cult, has witnessed recent unprecedented growth and miracles of people being delivered, healed, and consoled. Reports of God’s healing touch have included eyesight being completely restored, the disappearance of a large cancerous tumor in a man’s lung, and the vanishing of uterine tumors in several women. The beginning of the summer also saw
the baptism of 10 people in Lake Sevan, the largest lake in Armenia, an event that attracted the interest and attention of onlookers. In May, the Armenian Church of God
offi ces moved to a new facility in Yerevan, which includes a hall for conducting services, Sunday school for children, Bible school, and services for leadership development and training. Sunday services have been averaging 40 to 50 persons, and new house churches are being started in other areas of the city. A countrywide emphasis has been placed
on training leaders who can deliver the Word of God to the thousands who have never heard the name of Jesus. Please continue to pray for the church in
Armenia, under Overseer Vagram Oganyan, to continue its effectiveness in spreading the gospel.

Layman Honored for Missions Giving
Roy Crane, a Church of God layman from
Chattanooga, died last year. Although not a wealthy man, he was a generous and faithful donor to Church of God World Missions. His gifts over a period of years grew to substantial proportions. In addition to his missions passion, he was a Great
Commission member near home. He loved to play the guitar and sing at nursing homes, even in his later years. Roy’s missions commitment was honored recently
when Missions Representative Ben McGlamery visited his home and gave a plaque recognizing his contributions to his widow, Louise Crane. “Roy Crane has set a tremendous example for
seniors with limited income whose faithful and consistent giving can make a meaningful difference in Missions,” said McGlamery.
