On June 5, Angie McInvale, director of House of Hope, the Church of God orphanage in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, was married to Eduardo Altamirano. Ken Anderson, former fi eld director of Central America, offi ciated. The ceremony was translated by Otoniel Collins, national overseer of Honduras, and pastors Brian Wade and Roman Crus also participated. Children from the orphanage helped make up the wedding party.


World Missions Missionary-at-Large Glen Anniskette and Susie Battle of Lee University were united in marriage Saturday, August 7, 2010, at Westmore Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee.


Associate Medical Missionary Silvina Gonzalez is engaged to Guillermo Barrera of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Guillermo is a psychologist, ordained minister, and pastor. Silvina serves in Uruguay.

Peter Alexander Smith, son of missionary Tommy and Poppi Smith of Indonesia, graduated from the Jakarta International School on May 25, 2010. Peter is studying telecommunications this term at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee.


Lucinda Yang, daughter of World Missions Special Field Assignment Representative Hong and Esther Yang, was the recipient of the Rymer Gold and the Centennial Scholarship from Lee University.


Tyler Brinson, son of World Missions fi eld representative, Terrell and Debbie Brinson, graduated with a master’s degree in church music from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

Baby Elijah Marks, infant son of missionaries Todd and Shelly (Tau) Marks, passed away Sunday morning, August 1, 2010, at the Chambersburg Hospital in Pennsylvania. Elijah was a brother to 9-month-old sister, Lexi Reign.


Bishop Darrell L. Lindsay passed away Friday, June 25, 2010. He began his ministry with the Church of God in 1941 in Ontario, Western Canada, and had also served in India. He was former president of the International Bible College in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and a former regional overseer of Western Canada.


Former overseer of the Bahamas, William M Johnson, passed away May 31, 2010. Brother Johnson served in that position for 26 years, from 1972-1998.


Missionary Dan Susong’s father passed away April 3, 2010. Dan and his wife serve in Ecuador.

The mother of the national overseer of Southern Chile, Moises Escobar, passed away July 21, 2010. Sister Florentina Venegas and her husband, Juan, were both ministers for the Church of God.


Michelle Vallez’s mother recently passed away in Naples, Florida. Michelle is an associate missionary in Germany.


One of the founders of the Church of God in Spain, Rev. Miguel Trallero, recently went home to be with the Lord.


Elise Thompson, the wife of the late Alex Thompson, a prominent church and missions leader in South Africa, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2010.
