Stormsaver to supply NG Bailey
Stormsaver, the UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of rainwater harvesting systems, has been selected as a preferred supplier to one of the UK’s leading building services providers, NG Bailey. As part of the company’s approach to renewable technology resources, NG Bailey wanted to create an innovative and efficient approach to establishing a supply chain. Adam Heal, procurement manager for NG Bailey says: “Our strategy, For Life in Buildings, encourages us to utilise our skills and experience in pursuit of buildings that perform better, while using fewer resources, for the benefit of owners and occupiers. We want to ensure that our customers are provided with high quality equipment, supported by reliable services and after sales. We also want them to know that all of our projects use the best suppliers with high-quality, cost-effective and innovative products with excellent sustainable credentials.
“We decided to put together a preferred supplier agreement for renewable technology, so we could ensure that our customers would benefit from the leading suppliers in the marketplace and continuous working relationships leading to timely and efficient project delivery. These relationships ensure we are capable of developing bespoke offerings for each of our customers – including quality products, specifications and technical support.
“We’re really pleased to have
Stormsaver on our preferred supplier list. They’ve built up a good
reputation for providing high quality rainwater harvesting solutions at affordable prices, and we know that our clients will benefit from that.”

The value of apprenticeships has been recognised at a presentation held at Burton College. Designed to celebrate talents and skills, the event was held to bring employers and providers together to honour the value of apprenticeships and work related training in general. Amongst those attending the evening was Stephen Bird, who successfully achieved an Apprenticeship in Plumbing. Talking about the presentation, the College’s Vice Principal Strategic Partnerships & Planning Howard Boswell said, “Apprenticeships bring considerable value to organisations, employers, individuals and the economy. Research has shown that they are one of the best possible ways of training and developing people, providing them with the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to enhance their career and help businesses to prosper. Supporting apprenticeships will help to generate the local economy whilst also ensuring that talented, skilled craftspeople will stay in the area. Likewise, vocational training through initiatives such as Train to Gain share similar benefits. As a College, we really need the support of local employers. Apprenticeships are the ideal way to train your workforce, helping to make an organisation more effective, productive and competitive by directly addressing skills gaps. This presentation provided an opportunity to communicate the advantages of such training whilst also highlighting the increased number and range of apprenticeships available in both the public and private sector.” Apprenticeships are aimed at 16 – 25 year olds and provide an alternative route to full time education, combining a real job with ongoing vocational training in 16 different subject areas. In addition, a new apprenticeship scheme for adults has been launched which is open to both employed and unemployed people aged between 24 and 59, who either want to retrain or improve their qualifications.
