Typical feeder job application 1 Cover

The two top bins are allocated for cover stock allowing 80 mm stacks to run continuously without stops for reloading. In this application we feed high gloss color prints from an offset/digital press as a cover. The cover has to come on top and is therefore fed last.

Black & white inserts

In feeder mode bins 3-5 are considered as one block. When one bin runs empty it jumps over to feed from the next one. The three shown inserts are coming from a black & white printer in sequence order. We program the feeder to feed them in the shown order.

3 SQF 2000 Squarefolder

Adding the squarefolder gives the same professional flat finish as a perfect bound book but at a fraction of the price. Enhance the appearance with text printed on the spine for a magazine look. Up to 100 page booklets can be processed.

Faster, less expensive and without all the negatives of glue binding such as warm up time, odors, footprint etc. Automatic set up through the BM 2000 operator interface.

BST 4000-1 Beltstacker

A high capacity conveyor stacker capable of stacking a large amount of finished booklets. Easy to unload thanks to the angled end tray and the even and straight stack it forms. Adjustable conveyor speed and overlap to match your jobs. Can be positioned inline, left or right angled.

4 The final result

We have now merged the different documents by feeding them in the programmed order, one by one, into the compiler in the BM 2000. A second later they turn up on the delivery stacker - neatly bound, trimmed and squarefolded.

Color inserts

The last block contains bins 6-8. In this example we use the bins for merging two color prints from a digital color printer into the set. They are fed in the shown order.
