Two systems in one – smart feeder function and high speed collating. The Plockmatic 1000/1000S System is the ultimate binding system for most print applications.
Today’s printing environment needs to handle prints from digital printers/presses, traditional offset presses and from duplica- tors. The required print volume and quality determine the appropriate printing method. In many cases the finished booklet has been printed on different print engines and thus needs to be merged. Also, prints from a digital printer come pre-sorted whereas the offset press or duplicator, require sorting/ collating. All this is a challenge for the finishing devices in order to keep a good workflow.
VF 1008 Feeder
A completely new concept in vacuum feeding/ collating that offers a unique combination of advanced feeding applications and traditional collating. Use it as a smart feeder for pre- sorted printer outputs or as a traditional colla- tor for normal collating/sorting jobs. Combine the two and you get a truly flexible and versa- tile system. Merge color prints from your offset/ digital press with pre-sorted b/w and color outputs from your printers.
Each tower module contains 8 bins with an impressive 40 mm (1.6") bin capacity. In colla- tor mode three towers can be connected giving you up to 96 page booklets.
In feeder mode up to 60 different documents can be fed and a stack of 320 mm (12.6") can be loaded in cascade mode. Continuous load- ing on the run.
Handles a wide variety of substrates and formats from 12"x18" down to CD size. Automatic side positioning is based on pre-programmed format.
6 BM 2000/2000S Binder
A booklet maker for the production segment. Available as BM 2000, the stapler version or as BM 2000S with wire stitchers handling a wide variety of formats and substrates. Capacity to produce up to 100 page booklets. No speed reduction for large formats. An impressive 3,000 booklets can be made per hour regardless of size. Special attention has been given to handle digital color prints to avoid smearing and scratching. The two step folder rollers give a sharp fold without marking.
User friendly operator interface that also activates and adjusts the “downstream” modules FTR 2000 and SQF 2000. When required, the BM 2000/2000S can also be handfed through a slot in the top cover.
10 open memories for storing of frequent jobs. Stitching / stapling capacity; 50,000 (BM 2000S) / 5,000 (BM 2000).
FTR 2000 Trimmer
Front edge trimming is a must for booklets with more than 3-4 sheets to get a professional look. The FTR 2000 is equipped with a large trim scrap bin and with fans as standard to avoid having trim strips follow the books. Automatic set up through the BM 2000 operator interface.
