HOMICIDES BENNING RD., 2300 block, 10:40 to 11 a.m. June 17. An unidentified person was found lying on a sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the head. The person was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead. THIRD ST., 2100 block, 12:55 to 1 p.m. June 17. Calvin Godsey, 38, of the District was found lying on a street with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. ROBBERIES BLADENSBURG RD., 2200 block, 10:38 to 10:39 a.m. June 19. Two males wearing black masks approached a male pumping gas at a service station. One robbed him of cash at gunpoint. The two robbers fled in a gray Infiniti with temporary tags. EADS ST., 4200 block, 4:15 to 4:24 a.m. June 20. A male was approached from behind by a male teenager as he was looking in his vehicle’s trunk. The teenager placed the male in a chokehold while holding a knife to his throat and robbed him. EASTERN AVE., 700 block, 3:20 to 4 a.m. June 18. A male was approached by two male teenagers. One teenager demanded his phone, and the other struck him on the head with a weapon. They fled after the male said he was calling police. GIRARD ST., 1-99 block, 1:35 to 2:45 a.m. June 22. A gunman took property from a person on the sidewalk and fled in a vehicle with two other males. HAYES ST., 4100 block, 1:15 a.m. June 19. Two males, both with silver handguns, got out of the back of a vehicle while two males waited in the front. The gunmen ordered two males to lie on the ground and took property. The robbers fled in the vehicle. JUST ST., 5000 block, 10:54 to 10:55 a.m. June 18. Two male youths approached a male pedestrian. Neither spoke as one held him at gunpoint and the other grabbed him from behind and started to choke him with his forearm. The male broke free and ran away, dropping a pack of cigarettes, which one of the youths took. KENILWORTH AVE., 700 block, 10:20 p.m. June 18. Several males attacked a male pedestrian from behind and began punching him. The assailants took the pedestrian’s mountain bike. The pedestrian ran to the Minnesota Avenue Metro station to call for help and was
taken to a hospital. MINNESOTA AVE., 3800 block, 4 a.m. June 17. While a male employee was helping a customer in a convenience store, a male youth attacked another person behind the counter and took property. MINNESOTA AVE., 4900 block, 11:30 p.m. June 21. Three male teenagers asked a person who was smoking on a front porch for a cigarette. When the person went to a fence to give each a cigarette, one of the teenagers displayed a black handgun and pointed it at the person’s head. The two other teenagers took items from the person’s pockets. NORTH CAPITOL ST. AND ROCK CREEK CHURCH RD., 10 to 10:10 p.m. June 18. While a male was walking to a Metro station, four people got out of a vehicle while the driver remained inside. Two people grabbed the pedestrian’s arms, while the other two took his iPod from his backpack. They also took his wallet and money from his pockets. All four struck and kicked him before fleeing in the vehicle. OTIS ST., 1900 block, 10:16 to 10:19 a.m. June 21. As a female was attempting to enter her vehicle, a male teenager pushed her to the ground, snatched keys from her hand and took the vehicle. RHODE ISLAND AVE., 2600 block, 9:30 p.m. June 17. A male pedestrian was struck in the front and back of the head by a male with a black metal pipe. The assailant demanded property, then fled. FOURTH ST., 500 block, 12:01 to 12:03 a.m. June 18. A male pedestrian was approached by a male on a bicycle, who displayed a knife and robbed him of money. FIFTH AND MORSE STREETS, 10:21 p.m. June 19. A male was approached by three males while sitting on a sidewalk. One kicked his head several times, while the other two beat him and demanded money. The male gave them cash, and the robbers fled. The victim had two broken arms, facial fractures and a severe head cut. He was taken to a hospital. SIXTH ST., 1200 block, 1:01 to 1:07 p.m. June 17. A male approached a male while he was unlocking his car and demanded it. The male said that he would give him money and jewelry but not his car. The robber began wrestling with the male inside the vehicle. The robber pistol-whipped the male, causing a head cut, a swollen lip and abrasions to his right arm. The robber took the vehicle and other property.
SEVENTH AND H STREETS, 10:21 p.m. June 17 to 12:30 a.m. June 18. A person responded to a car ad on the Internet. The person met a male
youth and a man in an alley. The person was struck on the head with a gun and robbed of a vehicle, a wallet and a cellphone. The vehicle was recovered, and a boy, 16, was arrested. 17TH ST. AND BLADENSBURG RD., 11:29 p.m. June 18. A male on a bicycle was approached by two males, who demanded the bicycle. They grabbed him and began punching him. The assailants pulled him off the bicycle, continued to punch and kick him and took his bike.
50TH ST. AND SHERIFF RD., 12:42 to 2 a.m. June 19. Three people wearing dark clothes, hoods and masks approached a vehicle, and two showed black handguns and ordered a male out of the car. The male complied, and the three fled in his vehicle.
52ND AND JUST STREETS, 1 to 5 a.m. June 22. A male approached a male pedestrian and showed a weapon. The male demanded property and ordered the pedestrian to the ground. Another robber took items and punched the pedestrian in the face, causing an injury. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital. THEFTS/BREAK-INS BENNING RD., 4000 block, 1:35 to 1:39 p.m. June 18. A male entered the residence of a female acquaintance through a window, argued with her, cut her hand with a kitchen knife and fled. BLAINE ST., 3900 block, 1 to 4:30 p.m. June 17. Property was taken from a residence entered by kicking a basement door. BRENTWOOD PKWY. AND MOUNT OLIVET RD., 4 p.m. June 17 to 5:45 a.m. June 18. Property was taken from a construction trailer site entered by prying open a front window.
DOWNING ST., 1300 block, 2:05 to 3:40 p.m. June 18. Property was taken from a residence entered by smashing a rear window. The contents of an occupant’s purse were found on a bed. DOWNING ST., 1400 block, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. June 17. Property was taken from a residence possibly entered through two rear doors, which were found open. FLORIDA AVE., 1200 block, 8:15 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. June 22. Property was taken from a residence entered by breaking a door. HST., 1000 block, 11 p.m. June 16 to 8 a.m. June 17. A lock on a freezer in a restaurant was broken, and property was taken. KEARNY ST., 1300 block, 5:20 to 5:25 p.m. June 18. A residence was entered by breaking a window with a brick, and property was taken from an upper-floor office. Six intruders were seen fleeing from the residence.

LST., 1600 block, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 17. Someone entered an apartment building by smashing a window, then entered an apartment by prying open a front door of the residence. Items were taken. MARYLAND AVE., 2000 block, 7:30 to 8 a.m. June 17. Two flat-screen TVs and cash were taken from an apartment entered by forcing open a front door.
QUEENS CHAPEL RD., 2100 block, midnight June 19 to 5:45 a.m. June 21. Tools were taken from a residence entered by breaking a window.
SLIGO MILL RD., 6000 block, 1 p.m. June 17 to 8 a.m. June 18. Items were taken from a dresser drawer at a residence entered through an unlocked back door. When a resident returned home, he noticed that his vehicle was parked in a location different from where he had left it. A witness said a male intruder had taken his vehicle at 1:30 a.m. and returned it at 5 a.m. VISTA ST., 3000 block, June 16 or June 17. Items were taken from a residence entered through an unlocked window. WEBSTER ST., 1-100 block, 3:30 p.m. June 19 to midnight June 20. Items were taken from an apartment possibly entered through an unlocked front door. FIRST ST., 1100 block, 3:30 p.m. June 17 to 7 a.m. June 21. Property was taken from a construction site entered by prying open a cage gate and breaking a window.
12TH ST., 2600 block, 1:30 to 2 p.m. June 19. Copper piping was taken from a residence entered by destroying a rear door. 48TH ST., 900 block, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. June 17. Property was taken from a residence entered through a basement window or a second-floor bedroom window.

HOMICIDES GEORGIA AVE., 5900 block, 11:30 p.m. June 18. Jamaal Bell, 16, of Washington was found lying on a sidewalk with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Three other injured people found near the scene were taken to hospitals. 14TH ST. AND PERRY PL., 10:03 p.m. June 10. Tyrone Smith, 48, of Washington was found lying on a sidewalk with a head injury. He was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. A man, 49, was arrested. CARJACKINGS
INGRAHAM AND 13TH STREETS, 2:15 a.m. June 19. A gunman ordered a male to get out of the way and drove off in his vehicle. MONROE ST., 1300 block, 12:20 a.m. June 21. A male was forced to the ground by a teenager and detained while two teenage accomplices took his vehicle.
