In The BizLowtide
Geo Tamblyn has joined Marine
Servicenter as the General Manager of the Anacortes location. He looks forward to being back in Anacortes where his passion for boating began, and is excited to serve the community with quality yacht repairs. Geo grew up in Portland, Oregon,
spending much of his youth in the mountains and in the San Juan Islands. His father is an avid sailor and Geo was fortunate enough to grow up sailing out of Anacortes and in the San Juans. In 1996, Geo created Tamblyn Marine
Services in Seattle, focusing on detailing, varnish and woodworking. In 2000, he merged companies with Costica Marine and created Lake Union Yacht Center and became sole owner in 2004. In 2007, the property sold and Lake Union Yacht Center had to relocate. In 2009, with the economy struggling, Geo decided to close the doors. Geo can be reached at Marine
Servicenter at
geo@marinesc.com or (360) 293-8200.
