Here’s a photo from Palmerston Island of folks from the Northwest sailing on board Mahina. Palmerston Island is an atoll in the Southern Cook Island Group. The building behind is built from old shipwrecks. Palmerston Island is featured in the June cooking column (Galley Essentials with Amanda).

Adventure in the May edition was a spoof or a serious story. However, on the assumption that it was “for real”, I have only one request of Mr. Purcell: Please make a public statement that when you get in trouble during one of your bad weather frolics that you will not, under any circumstance, ask the taxpayers to bail you out by asking the Coast Guard to come to your rescue. As far as this “responsible” boater and taxpayer is concerned, you are on your own buddy.
