ICM-Boldt prepara 2 nuevos casinos El Director de Casinos del Estado, Javier Chá, informó a la
prensa local que el consorcio argentino ICM-Boldt, propietario de casinos, hoteles, y salas de apuestas en su país, se ha adjudicado la concesión de un hotel con casino en Rivera, además de haber ganado la licitación por el Gran Hotel Salto, que se encontraba abandonado desde hacía un tiempo. ICM-Boldt with 2 new casinos in Uruguay Javier Cha, director of the Uruguay government’s Casinos
del Estado, announced to the local press in June, that Argentine firm ICM-Boldt, owners of casinos, hotels, and betting shops in their country had been adjudicated the concession of a government hotel and casino in the northern frontier city of Rivera. Cha also said that the firm had won the tender for Gran Hotel Salto, a derelict property in Salto city. Both properties will operate under the mixed concession
system in society with the government, and ICM-Boldt will invest US $45 million on the Rivera property. Cha, said: “This project had tremendous impact in Rivera, especially on job creation, apart from helping the city’s deficit in hotels room”. Cha added, that the Gran Hotel Salto will be totally rebuilt by the tender winners, and the city’s gaming hall will be moved to the new hotel, as part of the deal, so that there is only one casino in Salto.
