BAUMA

Unified Snorkel brand

Having built up its access platform portfolio with the acquisition of UpRight in 2006 and Snorkel in 2007, the Tanfield Group used Bauma to unveil one unified brand using the Snorkel name. Now all Tanfield platforms will be sold as Snorkels with a single orange and white corporate livery. The newest Snorkel products displayed included the T46J telescopic boom lift and the S1930E, S1932E, S2632E, S2646E and SE3246E electric scissor lifts. The show also provided the full European debuts for the SL30SL Speed Level Plus rough terrain ‘no-stabiliser’ lift, the S3368RT, S4390RT and SS5290RT twin deck diesel scissor lifts, the PAM26 push-around mast lift, the SPM20 self-propelled mast lift, the TL39 trailer-mounted articulating boom lift, the A46T crawler-mounted articulating boom lift and the XT24SD trailer-mounted scissor lift with self-drive. The Snorkel T46J is the first in a new family of mid-size boom lifts

that will share a common chassis. Complete with a 14m telescopic boom and a 2m articulating jib, this machine has an operating envelope that embraces a maximum working height of 16m and an outreach of up to 12.2m. The machine weighs less than 6400kg.

The new generation

narrow S1930E and the slightly wider S1932E ‘micro’ scissors are replacing the popular MX19. Providing a maximum working height of 7.8m, they feature a new integrated control system with on-board diagnostics. The higher S2632E, S2646E and S3246E electric scissors will be phased in to replace the former UpRight X Series throughout the late summer and autumn of 2010.
