HOW TO GET THE FULL PROTECTION FROM YOUR SUNSCREEN

Most people don’t apply sunscreen properly, so they end up getting much less protection than the label promises. Follow these tips to get your full protection.

When to apply? 30 minutes before you go out in the sun.

When to apply again? Every two hours, and immedi- ately after swimming, toweling off or sweating. How much? 1 ounce or about a shot glass full.

Finally, old sunscreen might not give you full protection. Throw out last year’s bottle and start each season with fresh sunscreen.
