This is the perfect course for beginners covering a wide range of seamanship and coastal navigation subjects.
• RYA Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster
This more advanced course focuses on navigation, the collision regulations and meteorology. Some prior knowledge is required.
• RYA Yachtmaster Ocean
A fascinating course designed for experienced sailors which covers astro-navigation, world meteorology and ocean passage sailing.
• Non RYA courses
We have one additional course available – ICC Theory. This course provides the necessary theory for the ICC Practical, an essential qualification for boating abroad.
• Multi Course Package
You can save money by signing up for two courses as a single package.
RYA Day Skipper plus RYA Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster Offshore
Ideal either for couples who both wish to study, but at different levels, or as a cost-effective way of studying both in succession.
• VHF Short Range Certificate (SRC)
This course covers the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System and instructs the student in proper VHF procedures.
• RYA First Aid
A one-day course teaching the basics of first aid with particular emphasis on the types of situation which may be encountered on a small boat at sea.
• RYA Radar
Our one-day course gives you an understanding of radar as an aid to navigation and collision avoidance.
• RYA Diesel Engine Course
This one-day beginners’ course is designed to help you prevent and solve simple diesel engine problems.
Useful Additional Extras
We stock a small range of useful items at competitive prices: navigation instruments, for example, which you’ll need for all our courses; and carefully selected textbooks which some of our courses reference. With one possible exception you do not need additional textbooks, but some people find them very helpful and we’re happy to recommend a few high quality titles.
