RYA Diesel Engine Course
This one-day beginners’ course is designed to help you prevent and solve diesel engine problems. No detailed mechanical knowledge is needed but at the end of the course you will be able to avoid the more common problems by taking simple precautions. Mechanical breakdown is one of the most common causes of call-outs by the rescue services. Learn how to avoid it and deal with the more common breakdowns while at sea.

• the main systems and parts of the engine
• bleeding the fuel system • changing an impeller • routine checks and maintenance • simple fault finding
• rectification of the more common problems
