A First-Order
Priority
Environmental initiatives are at the heart of Maryland’s Intercounty Connector
Crews building the Intercounty Connector (ICC) in suburban Washington D.C. aren’t just protecting the environment; they’re improving it. When it’s fi nished, the 18-mile modern highway will ease congestion and provide a safer, more reliable route between the I-270/I-370 corridor in Montgomery County and the I-95/U.S. 1 corridor in Prince George’s County.
More than 15 percent of the project’s cost is dedicated to environmental initiatives.
