HAWCS CHARITY EVENT

You may remember that back in our April/May 2009 issue, we brought you news of a new charity, the Habitat and Wildlife Conservation Society (HAWCS) founded by Sharen McBride. Sharen already runs her own business, Recapture, providing a comprehensive range of Medical Aesthetic Treatments and is now pursuing a lifelong passion as she forms a new charity, working alongside current charities such as WWF and The Orangutan Foundation.

Well, in our previous issue Sharen asked WorkLife readers to help and we’re pleased to update that Sharen has now completed her board of trustees and charity registration.

To celebrate, help raise funds and inspire people, the HAWCS Charity Launch Party is being held on Friday 14th May 2010 at The Place Hotel, Ducie Street, Manchester, from 7.30pm.

Guests will enjoy an exclusive line up of live entertainment with singers: ANGIE BROWN, MIRREN LEASK and VICTOR HAYNES. Whilst also enjoying a guest appearance from the HAWCS Charity Patron, KATHERINE KELLY (Becky from Coronation Street).

A presentation of the Charity will take place at 8pm followed by a Buffet, Live Entertainment & Disco. Throughout the evening there will be a Raffle giving you with the chance to win some fabulous prizes! And a unique Photographic Exhibition will be on display providing an insight and understanding of the Habitat and Wildlife which HAWCS, with your help, strives to protect and conserve.

Existing work from current charities in Borneo and Sumatra has helped to save the Orangutan and other species from extinction. However, there is still much to be done to ensure the survival of these amazing creatures. We hope you can offer your support and look forward to seeing you at The HAWCS Charity Launch Party!
