DeMatha / Sr.
Capped a four-year career with a second-place finish at the National Preps Championships and a 192-27 record at the Hyattsville school (66-3 this season). A three-time all-American, he did not lose to a local opponent all season, rolled to a second consecutive Maryland Independent Schools crown and helped propel the powerhouse Stags to their 24th WCAC team title in 29 years. Will wrestle for Navy.

“ . . . probably going into my sophomore year when I started training with Cary Kolat. He definitely got me to that next level. He just kind of put the pieces together. He was training with me nonstop and he got me to where I needed to be.”

Captured both the MIAA and Maryland Independent Schools titles and took fourth at National Preps. Finished the season 40-5.
112 Nathan Kraisser
Centennial / So.
The two-time All Met earned his second consecutive Maryland 4A/3A crown. Boasts a two-year record of 75-3 that includes 46 pins.
119 Paul O’Neill
Gonzaga / Jr.
The three-time WCAC and three-time D.C. Classic champion capped a 32-9 season by claiming fifth at National Preps.
125 Adam Krop
Urbana / Sr.
The first wrestler from Frederick County to win three Maryland titles finished his career 148-6. Will wrestle for Princeton.
130 Frank Goodwin
Arundel / Sr.
Cruised to the Maryland 4A/3A title to wrap up a dominant career at 169-17, with 102 pins. Will wrestle for Maryland.
130 Jacob Crawford
Robinson / So.
Transfer from Millbrook outscored opponents, 44-3, en route to second straight state title. Finished season with 45-2 record.
135 Charlie Lynch
Spalding / Jr.
Did not lose to an in-state opponent during his 46-2 breakout year. Claimed MIAA, MIS and War on the Shore titles and took fifth at National Preps.
140 Ron Vaughters
Old Mill / Jr.
The Patriots’ anchor won his second straight Maryland 4A/3A title to conclude a 44-2 season. Has a career mark of 118-12.
145 Mark Colabucci
Reservoir / Jr.
Wrapped up a 44-0 season with the school’s first individual crown after leading the Gators to the Maryland 4A/3A dual and tournament team titles.
152 Nick Emison
Colonial Forge / Sr.
Commonwealth District champion lost just once to area opponents as Eagles won eighth consecutive Northwest Region title.
160 Ross Renzi
Lake Braddock / Sr.
Won Northern Region title on last-second takedown, tearing two tendons in his knee while completing the move. Finished season 21-1.
171 Pat Downey
North County / Jr.
Won his first Maryland 4A/3A title after claiming the 2A/1A in 2009 and MIS in 2008. Went 34-0 for his second straight undefeated season.

Two-time Northern Region and Virginia AAA state champion went 53-1 and finished career with 165 wins. Will wrestle at Bucknell.

North County / Sr.
Three-time state finalist gave up just four takedowns en route to a 39-0 season and his first Maryland 4A/3A title. Career record of 123-22.

Led the Bulldogs to a 30-2 dual-meet record, capping off the season by winning their third consecutive Northern Region championship. Westfield also had six state place winners and took third place in the team portion of the Virginia AAA tournament. The Bulldogs qualified all 14 of its starters for states, more than any other team.
