With Createx Auto Borne white I loosely map the light ar- eas. Then I lift up the inside cut out like a flap and insert a clean cutting mat under it. Cut out the eyes and mouth, replace the flap, and shoot some thin white to map their position (Steps 3 to 5). Lift up the flap and start laying down colors. A lot of the colors I will use here are Daler-Rowney
(F.W.) inks. They flow very well through and airbrush and can be thinned with water or several other acrylic paint re- ducers. They also give very high coverage. Using FW flesh tint I loosely paint the light areas of the face. I then add a couple of drops of FW flame red to that mix and start fading the darker areas into the light ones (Steps 6 & 7).
