Siena is hoping to get off to a better start in 2009-10 than last Siena used the Saint Peter’s game as fuel and won five of the

“Our strength of schedule was ranked 16th in
the country last season,” Head Coach Gina
Castelli said. “Although it was an extremely
challenging year for us; in hindsight, it pro-
vided the best learning experience for our
team this season. Our players showed their
resiliency last season going into the league
schedule and thus guiding us to end confer-
ence play at .500. I see a different group of
players this year, a more confident group
that knows what it takes to be successful.
I believe this attitude was established from
last year’s season.”
