Yes there is discounting
going on but generally
there are buyers buying
and many positive leads
being followed up by
the manufacturers. The
multihull sector appears
to have seen a 25 – 30%
drop in sales whilst the
monohull and power sectors have been down
by at least 50%. However this has not stopped
innovation and new launches and we have seen
over 40 new multihulls launched in the last six
months – staggering and a vote of confidence
in the long term future of the market!
We test two of these recent launches, the
Dragonfly 28 and the Outremer 49 in this issue..

of Outremer under its new ownership is a
great tale and this established brand has a
confidence about it that is good for the industry
and its clients.

launch, the V8, on a cruise down the West
coast of France, this is a fun day sailer in the
mould of the micro multihull and is loving OUTREMER 49 BOAT TEST PAGE 22
