BliSSFul GArden
The creation of Bao perfume bottle was
inspired by the Greek myth of the ‘Garden
of the Hesperides’. According to the myth
there was a Hera’s blissful orchard in the
far western corner of the world, where a
grove of immortality giving golden apples
grew. The apples were planted from the
fruited branches that Gaia gave to Hera
as a wedding gift when she accepted
Zeus. The nymphs, Hesperides, were
given the task of tending to the grove, but
occasionally plucked from it themselves.
Vivien Muller’s Bao is designed in a
form of a hollowed baobab tree which
branches are provided with tiny holes
allowing to release the perfume drop by
drop in a form that resembles golden
fruits from Hera’s blissful garden.
