This painting was done on a metal panel (Size 18 X 23 In). To prep the panel
for painting I sand it with 320 grit dry sand paper and clean the surface with
acetone. The panel is primed with 2 coats of black epoxy primer. After drying
time the next step is to sand the primer with P500 grit paper to get a perfectly
smooth surface. Lastly I clean the surface with a tack cloth and degrease it one
more time with Upoly degreaser. I print the figure out to the right size, cut it
and fill the inside part with a thin coat of white AA paint. To avoid a sharp edge
I spray very light coats on the edges and I ‘m more generous with the paint in
the center part.
Because of the small size of the girls face;
specially the eyes and nose I use a special
technique .I always use transparent paints
or very thin opaque colors in my painting
but will change my technique this time.
With this painting I will use a 0.4 nozzle in-
stead of 0.2 and switch from transparent
colors to semi-opaque colors. For this face
