Founded by Bill and Sharon McGannon more than a quarter of a cen-
tury ago, the McGannon Showrooms have grown to encompass 27,000
square feet at the Decorative Center Dallas and establish themselves as a
permanent fixture on the Dallas design scene. Unwavering commitment
to high standards and incomparable customer service have been in place
since the company’s inception when Sharon was at the helm and Bill
was on the road representing multiple lines.
Today, the McGannons’ evolutionary approach to customer service
has set a precedent in the industry. McGannon responded to the para-
digm shift that occurred in the trade and devised a plan to achieve con-
tinued success. This plan included “raising the bar in customer service,
empowering our employees and changing how we respond to problems
and challenges for our clients,” McGannon revealed. The McGannons
brought in Dan Wilson, finance professional turned business coach, to
help them achieve their new industry vision.
Relationships are paramount at the McGannon Showrooms. Employ-
ee Dennis Teague emphasizes this adding, “We value our relationships
with clients, vendors and coworkers and feel the more we know about
our clients the better we can serve them.”
Providing for clients is an easy feat with more than 3,500 items in
stock, including sofas, chairs, bedrooms, dining rooms, outdoor furnish-
ings, accessories, art and lighting, as well as custom capabilities on more
than 57 lines. Within this expansive collection, the McGannon Show-
rooms offer an exclusive studio collection of international and domestic
furniture, lighting and accessories not available for retail distribution,
a considerable collection of outdoor furnishings and a substantial se-
lection of custom lines for hospitality and commercial designers. DTM
