David Marshall and Sara Murphy at the ASA-SIAM Series booth during last
year’s Joint Statistical Meetings in Denver
A
s always, the ASA-SIAM series will have a booth in the exhib-
it hall during the Joint Statistical Meetings. This year, you can
find us at booth #605, where you can shop for books at 20%
to 30% off list prices and receive free shipping.
While you are at the booth, take the time to complete a new sur-
vey so we will know how the series can better serve you. Attendee
feedback has been valuable in the past, and we encourage everyone
to help us out again this year. In return for your completed survey
or book purchase, you will be rewarded with a reusable grocery tote,
emblazoned with the series logo.
If you are considering a book project of your own, Sara Murphy and
members of the series’ editorial board will be onsite to speak with you
about your ideas and how to submit a proposal. Books appropriate for
the series include research monographs, introductory texts, and gradu-
ate-level textbooks on topics of interest to statisticians, biostatisticians,
applied mathematicians, engineers, and scientists. More information
about the series is available at
www.siam.org/books/series/sa.php. Contact
Murphy at
murphy@siam.org prior to the meetings if you would like to
arrange an appointment to talk about your project.
