Desert Springs Church will present “Christmas in the City, a Musical Celebration of Christmas” at 3 and 7 p.m. December 18 at the JW Marriott, 74855 Country Club Drive in Palm Desert. Under the direction of Tom Hartley, a 90-voice worship choir will accompany special guest soloist Steve Lively. The LOV Movement will present a Living Nativity from 6–9 p.m. nightly, December 17–18 at Vintage Nursery, 78755 Darby Road in Bermuda Dunes. Scenes depicting life during Jesus’ time will be portrayed by actors. Admission is free and the whole family is invited. There will be animals, food and activities for the kids. Palm Springs Seventh-day Adventist Church, 620 S. Sunrise Way in Palm Springs, will host their 17th annual presentation of Handel’s Messiah at 3 p.m. on December 4. Outreaches


Calvary Christian Center, 68550 Dinah Shore Drive in Cathedral City, will host their annual Christmas outreach to provide toys and Christmas dinner to families across the Coachella Valley. The church is collecting donations of clothes, food, unwrapped toys and fi nancial donations to help fund the event. For info call (760) 808-1091.


Coachella Valley Christmas Store, in partnership with the LOV Movement, will open four stores throughout the valley for families in need. For more information on the ministry and ways you can serve, please see the story on page 1.
