To the urban sentimentalist, all buildings have value. They hold memories like the boxes that they are. Even the unsightly objects can take on new meaning when their perpetuity is threatened. The lonely utility pole becomes the mast of the near-extinct clipper ship, their wires and insulators the proud rigging.
ART
Even so-called urban blight in some ways memorializes a universe of layered memories.
The trouble with practical arts, i.e. architecture, is that often enough, the objects become impractical and are tossed aside without any
regard to the human effort that went into the creation process.
