Living Well
T. Bennett
Now is the perfect time of the year to put good
thoughts into motion. But why is it that most of
us only retain this motivation only for a few
weeks? Shouldn’t we just decide to stick it out
and that’s it? Experts will argue for the 30 day
rule, which makes sense; to change a pattern
would require x amount of days in consecutive
repetition, for a certain amount of time to retrain
new ingrained habits and to retain thought forms
regarding how you feel about the pattern you
are trying to change or shift. That’s a mouth full.
Fine tuning your frequency: Tap into the feeling
of what it feels like to have what you want today.
Let us look back for a moment and reminisce or
review what happened for us in 2008.
Don't be frustrated with having experienced
certain aspects you did not want to happen.
Knowing what you DO NOT WANT TO
experience holds key power for you to fully
grasp what you DO WANT.
So ask yourself? Are you repeating the same
scenario over and over?
You hold the power to your own remote
control....it is called change-the-channel. A good
friend of mine would use the analogy of
watching reruns. I must have watched the same
series for 3 years in a row. Finally, I figured it
out, by listening to myself. I decided to get
myself a new story line. Shazam. Change. You
want to loose a few pounds, stop talking about
how fat you feel. Just focus on what it takes to
feel healthy and the size you want to be. You
want to eat better, surround yourself with
messages and environmental programming that
supports your desire. Don’t stop by the donut
shop on your way home if eating healthier is
your new story line. Passing by the fruit stand
drbronner.com
on the corner is a better choice. Better. Better.
Better. That’s the ticket.
