Germany) held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new site in Frank- lin, Kentucky. T e 300,000 sq. ft. facility will house a metalcasting facility and mechanical production area. T e new plant will be Fritz Winter’s fi rst non- German site in 65 years. Machining of disc brake rotors is expected to begin in 2017 and over 300 jobs are expected to be added. T e company produces engine blocks and heads, among other automotive parts. According to local reports, the fi rst phase will bring over 200 jobs with a $100 million investment. “T is is one of the most impor- tant milestones of our company,” Jorg Rumikewitz, CEO, Fritz Winter Group, said according to the Bowling Green Daily News. 
