USA Triathlon relaunched its official e-commerce platform,
USATStore.com, on Jan. 1. The online store, which features a new line of branded casual wear and training apparel, is powered and operated by Endurance House Inc. Through a new four-year relationship, the retail franchiser and online outlet also receives exclusive rights to handle all on-site and digital sales of event-specific apparel and merchandise for USA Triathlon’s four owned National Championships: Age Group (Sprint & Olympic Distances), Collegiate Club & High School, Duathlon and Youth & Junior.
In addition to an expanding line of USA Triathlon-branded products,
USATStore.com will include several new features and functionalities, including a responsive design. And with Endurance House serving as its official merchandiser, USA Triathlon will offer in-line products at all four owned National Championships for the first time.
Throughout 2017 all athletes who register or renew as USA Triathlon annual members will be eligible to receive a free swag bag of gear through
USATStore.com with a minimum purchase of $25. The swag bag will vary each month, with top-end product from different USA Triathlon partners as well as brands carried by Endurance House.

Siff Re-elected to ITU Board
USA Triathlon Board of Directors President Barry Siff was re-elected to the International Triathlon Union (ITU) Executive Board following a vote by member National Federations at the ITU Congress in Madrid, Spain.
In addition to the Board positions, National Federations voted on several ITU Committee positions. The following U.S. representatives were elected: Susan Haag, Women’s Committee; Dr. Doug Hiller, Medical & Anti-Doping Committee; Gale Bernhardt, Constitution Committee; Jon Beeson, Paratriathlon Committee; Tim Yount, Multisport Committee; Andy Schmitz, Coaches’ Committee.
Storie Named to BOD
Elite triathlete Erin Storie (née Jones) was recently appointed to the USA Triathlon Board of Directors to serve as an Athlete Representative through the end of 2017.
Joint Endurance Coaching Summit Set
USA Triathlon, TrainingPeaks and USA Cycling announced the 2017 Endurance Coaching Summit (ECS) to be held on Aug. 3-4 at the University of Colorado Boulder. ECS will provide a unique blend of business and science topics for endurance coaches to expand their knowledge and learn new ways to grow their business.
Partnerships
ROKA: USA Triathlon and ROKA Sports Inc. announced a new multi-year partnership that designates the Dallas-based performance multisport brand as the Exclusive USA Triathlon Uniform and Swim Category Partner. This agreement makes ROKA’s patented, cutting-edge technologies available to the entire USA Triathlon community — including Team USA.
OGIO: USA Triathlon has signed a multi-year partnership agreement with OGIO International, a leading designer of lifestyle, sports and golf bags, through 2020. USA Triathlon annual members will receive a 20 percent discount off OGIO products.
USA Triathlon also announced renewed partnerships with Body Glide, Retül and MPA Event Graphics, which will directly benefit USA Triathlon members, programs and events.
Ban Joins Foundation Trustees
The USA Triathlon Foundation announced that Stephen Ban, a longtime triathlete and managing director of Nuveen Asset Management, has joined the USA Triathlon Foundation Board of Trustees. He brings to the Foundation extensive experience in marketing, advertising and a variety of financial industries.
Splash & Dash
The USA Triathlon Splash & Dash Youth Aquathlon Series returns for the sixth year, with more than 50 swim-run events planned in cities across the United States with the aim of introducing youth to the multisport lifestyle.
The series launched in 2012 with 30 events. With a focus on participation and fun, rather than competition, many of the events are not timed.
Participants ages 7-10 will cover a 100-meter swim and a 1-kilometer run, while athletes ages 11-15 will complete a 200m swim and a 2k run. Visit

Foundation Grants Awarded
The USA Triathlon Foundation announced the recipients of nearly $40,000 in grant funding for juniors and women in triathlon, awarded in conjunction with the Gwen Jorgensen Scholarship and Leanda Cave Foundation Grant.
Recipients include athletes Owen Cravens (Algonquin, Ill.), Lauren Steinke (St. Cloud, Minn.), Austin Hindman (Wildwood, Mo.), Jocelyn Bonney (Long Beach, Calif.), Drew Kroeker (Colorado Springs, Colo.), Veronika Davis (San Diego, Calif.) and Nick Johnson (Des Moines, Iowa), in addition to MC Elite Coach Christy Lausch (Mount Airy, Md.) and paratriathlon camp hosts Deanna Gellineau and Allysa Seely (Arizona).
To empower women through triathlon, USA Triathlon Foundation, Leanda Cave Foundation and USA Triathlon Women’s Committee awarded $3,500 to Team LC ambassadors. Recipients include i-tri of Long Island, N.J., Girls for Tri of Chattanooga, Tenn., and elite paratriathlete Elizabeth Baker.
