Trump’s Envoy to the
What’s Next for Marco Rubio? World
RUBIO VS. VANCE A STRONG CHOICE IN 2028 As conservatives look toward 2028, the contrast between Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President JD Vance is clear. Rubio represents a seasoned, forward-looking conservatism rooted in American leadership abroad and opportunity at home. Vance channels a more populist, insurgent energy that speaks to voters frustrated with institutions.
Both visions have merit, but the party must decide whether it prioritizes governing experience or disruptive change. Republicans win when they unite principle with practicality. The strongest candidate will be the one who can expand the coalition without abandoning core values of limited government, strong families, and national strength.

Marco Rubio has demonstrated a clear commitment to restoring American strength and credibility on the world stage. His focus on border security, energy independence, and counterterrorism reflects his understanding that national security begins at home but extends abroad. jonathan leesman Fairfax, Va.
Rubio combines experience, intellect, and a forward-looking vision for America’s role in the world. Importantly, he can articulate conservative principles in a way that resonates beyond the base, appealing to voters who want both strength and stability.

‘GONG SHOW’ Since the Democrats are so ridiculous, and they keep repeating the same thing over and over and over, let’s just play their game differently. Reenact The Gong Show, so when they come up with something stupid, we hit the gong;

then we give two or three reasons why their ridiculous idea won’t work. (“Inside Trump’s Plan to Defy History and Win Midterms,” April) cheryl-joy taylor McMinnville, Tenn.
MIDTERM AGENDA Our nation’s priorities must return to strengthening families, supporting small businesses, and restoring common-sense education that teaches reading, math, and civic literacy — not political ideology. In the midterms, lawmakers who promise accountability for wasteful programs and prioritize lowering taxes deserve support. Electing officials committed to enforcing existing immigration laws is equally imperative. Finally, protect free speech and religious liberty. NO KINGS While Democrats celebrate the “No Kings!” movement, one of their governors from one of the largest
states — Kathy Hochul of New York — is asking those same “kings” to move back to her state and bring their money with them. (“American Spirit Under Fire From Left and Right,” April) charles lopresto Phoenix, Ariz.
EPSTEIN OVERLOAD I’m tired of hearing about Jeffrey Epstein. It’s a story that only erodes public faith in fair institutions and doesn’t strengthen accountability. While justice for the victims is essential and should be pursued vigorously, our civic energy should return to policies and issues affecting people’s daily lives: taxes, education, national defense, immigration, and protecting the rule of law. EMPTY PROMISES China’s promises are just that, promises. The Communist rulers in Beijing will determine how much freedom to allow foreign companies. It’s not only about the economy, it’s about how much foreign companies will have an effect on China’s politics and ability to exercise control. (“The Race for Rocks,” March) esteban jimenez Gulf Breeze, Fla.
POTENTIAL ALLY In your March Newsmax (“The Race for Rocks”) is a 10-page description of the status of China’s dominance of rare earths. There is not a single mention of the wealth of these metals in the Kachin State of Myanmar (formerly Burma) being mined and sent to China. Those rare earths could be obtained by the U.S. if we would help the Kachins and other hill tribes in their age-old struggle against their corrupt, brutal government. The hill tribes are mostly Christian, freedom- loving people who control 70% of the country and could be a strong ally of
