Nick Rogers worked at Compuadd as a VAR Sales Manager straight out of school in 1988 and then left shortly after a merger with Compusys to set up Exacta Technologies in March 2001. Rogers’ business model is to identify markets that are not best served by the larger computer vendors’ one size fits all approach and how the business he 100% owns reflects his ‘anything is possible’ perspective.
High performance computing for demanding customers “I took three or four of my customers and set up Exacta Technologies in Bristol as a VAR, as a branded-solutions [OEM] company. Six years ago, we launched Blackcore servers with customers including some of the biggest names in the Fintech industry. Blackcore are the fastest high-frequency trading servers on the market, with the fastest CPU speed pretty much anywhere on the planet. They’re liquid-cooled, with a custom-built chassis to make them fast and reliable.
“Our experience of delivering cutting edge technology into the finance world, alongside software solutions, provided the inspiration and impetus behind Proline, which we developed at the start of 2020. The single vision was to build workstations for power-users without the limitations you find with the larger vendors.
“We come from a small portfolio perspective. All of our four Proline verticals require high- bandwidth performance.
