UNDER THE HAMMER Experience the excitement of a live auction.

What is it like attending an auction at W&H Peacock? by

W&H Peacock

N

ew faces and returning customers: all are welcome to visit the auction house. With at least four auctions taking place simultaneously every Saturday, the prospect of bidding live can sometimes be daunting – but don’t worry, everyone is in the same boat.

Start by heading to the salerooms for a browse

where something is bound to catch your eye. Before the sale gets going ensure you’ve registered for a lifetime bidder number. If you haven’t one it only takes five minutes and there’ll still be time to enjoy a coffee and cake in our stylish café overlooking the busy salerooms. As the auctioneer is getting ready to kick off, head down to the relevant room and join the crowd. When your lot comes up, jump in and catch the auctioneer’s attention. Bid up to your limit and see if you come out on top. Veteran auction-goers and first-time attendees all have the chance to grab a bargain!

home. Once you’ve experienced that auction buzz for the first time, you’re bound to visit again soon!
