Asked what the secret is


to creating the winning pie Alison commented ‘We use only locally sourced pork, beef and lamb for all our products together with subtle seasoning and everything is made from scratch on the premises’. Alison concluded ‘I am


thrilled at winning this title for the business and the staff - it’s a great boost to staff morale and gives customers the confidence that we produce only the best’ In addition to the Supreme award Alison also took home


a total of 3 Category awards, 6 Gold and 3 Silver awards for a variety of pastry and bacon products. It was a great day too


for David Purser who along with 4 Category awards and 10 Gold awards was crowned Supreme Sausage Champion with his Traditional Pork Sausage. A win that entitles


him to go forward for inclusion in the Meat Trades Journal Champion of Champion’s event being held later this year. Speaking aſter the


competition John Taylor, adjudicator, commented “We were delighted with the standard of products across all categories which once again demonstrated the creative flair and innovation of independent butchers. We would like to extend our thanks to the experienced team of judges who worked tremendously hard in
