The Councils of the Society of Marime Industries represent our six specialist business sectors
THE BMEA COUNCIL supports the interests of member companies in the marine equipment and services industries which are suppliers of equipment and services to all types of merchant ships and cra, including cargo vessels, container ships, tankers, bulkers, fishing boats, LPGs, LNGs, FPSOs, rigs, specialist ships, passenger/car ferries, ro‐ros, fast ships, superyachts and cruise liners. Export focused it interfaces with UK and internaonal shipyards and ship owning communies.

THE MASG COUNCIL supports the interests of member companies in the marime autonomy sector. This expanding market impinges on a wide range of marime applicaons such as the marine scienfic and offshore energy market, deep sea mining and security operaons, and in marime transport, where autonomy has the potenal to improve the integraon and effecveness of both cargo and passenger transport. Members with an interest include manufacturers, academia, researchers, survey companies and system suppliers.

THE MDSG COUNCIL supports the interests of member companies in the naval, marime defence and security sector which build, modernise, refit warships and submarines, research and develop designs for, and manufacture of, weapon and sensor systems and naval equipment, including naval aviaon, and provide related consultancy services in engineering, project management and finance.

THE MSTG COUNCIL supports the interests of member companies generally engaged in marine science and technology which include sensor manufacturers, research instuons, survey companies and system suppliers serving the oceanographic and marine environment sectors.

THE OIG COUNCIL supports the interests of member companies generally engaged in acvies offshore or involved in the oil and gas and offshore renewable energy industries including the provision of equipment, services and facilies and development of specialist systems for every type of offshore operaon, vessel and plaorm.

THE PTG COUNCIL supports the interests of member companies in the ports and terminals industries which include port owners and operators; shippers; freight forwarders; planners; specialist engineering, design and technical consultancies; internaonal contractors; manufacturers of a variety of port and terminal equipment; banks and financiers; accountants; insurance brokers and law firms.
