They use specialist chairs which are built for speed, agility and durability, which can take a pummelling during matches. A £725 grant from Leeds Building Society Foundation will pay for repairs and spare parts, including new wheels and tyres, to ensure the wheelchairs last as long as possible. Amanda Evans, Branch Manager of Leeds

The team off ers a fantastic opportunity for people throughout South Wales with disabilities to take part in this thrilling sport.” Sam Lloyd, a Trustee and player with Ospreys said: “We are very grateful to receive this very generous grant from the Leeds Building Society. “This donation will help us to maintain the conditions of the rugby chairs at the club, allowing us to provide functioning chairs for any new players that come to the club and want to try out our fantastic sport. Without generous donations such as this our club wouldn’t be able to function.”
