Youngman Mini to the Max The new Youngman

'MiniMax' platform from WernerCo offers a versatile tower system for both indoor and outdoor use. The modular MiniMax

has been updated to meet the revised EN 1004- 1:2020 standard. The lightweight system is erected using the tried and tested ‘Through the Trapdoor’ (3T) method, ensuring that users don’t stand on an unguarded platform. New knuckle joints have been positioned closer together to allow for easy opening and closing,

and an updated profile means ribbed tubes are now available on the climbing rungs to allow for a better grip. When dismantled, the MiniMax system is slender enough to fit

through standard doorways, and the base unit can be safely operated by one user. Snap-click fittings make for quick assembly and 0.26m stepped height platform adjustments allow a maximum platform safe working load of 211kg.

megadeal Belfast-based Balloo Hire has taken delivery of more than 100 scissor units, in a substantial order placed with Sinoboom’s European subsidiary. The new order is a mix of 1932ME, 2732E and 3346E battery-

powered models, providing working heights of 7.8m, 10.1m and 12m respectively. The delivery also includes the first Sinoboom 4647EP scissor platforms to arrive in the UK and Ireland. The 16 metre working height 4647EP scissor is only 1.27m wide with a 350kg indoor rated capacity. Balloo Powered Access Manager Colin Magee, pictured with

Sinoboom UK & Ireland Regional Manager Julie Houston Smyth, commented: “The first Sinoboom equipment added to our powered access fleet in Autumn 2020 was extremely well received. The product is robust, good quality and has performed very well – customers now ask for our Sinobooms by name, prompting us to further invest.” Sinoboom is certainly finding favour at the moment. Its European

subsidiary is headed by ex-IPAF CEO Tim Whiteman. While Pinnacle Platforms has exclusive rights to the equipment in Great Britain.
